Chris, do you use version 2.0.1 from Market? If so, do you have 3rd checkbox in APNdroid checked?

@albert, @Dmitry: If there is no connection after enabling you should use 2G/3G switch. This will trigger re-connect. At least it worked in this way when I had 1.5 firmware.

Adam, I am sorry to hear that. There are 2 currently known issues:
1) Droid on CDMA - APNdroid doesn't work. It changes nothing AFAIK, it's just not able to turn data connections off
2) Hidden APNs - in order to make switching states faster, we are ignoring some hidden APNs. It causes problems with some networks where hidden APNs are actually used to connect, but again, should not do any damage, just not able to switch data off. We added extra checkbox to 2.0.1 update to force modification of hidden APNs.

Even before 2.0 few people reported 3G coming back (randomly) and someone suggested that switching phone to Flight mode and back actually fixes the problem. I would suggest you try that and let me know if that worked. Restarting phone might help too in some cases, I guess.

Hi Martin! Looks great but... Installed apndroid after reading about it in Lifehacker. I was unwise to not check for confirmation of operation /w Droid. My Verizon Droid can now no longer use 3G! Can't fix manually! At first, did not work (tried both on and off, not sure which was disabling 3G) at all, so connected /w wifi to make sure I still had access. Removed apndroid while connected via Wifi, now I can't get 3G no matter what I do. Tried reinstalling apndroid, no difference. Checked access point screens, I don't see any signs of any renaming. Any suggestions would be most appreciated, not sure what to do.

Hey Chris, we are looking at CDMA issues at this group thread: http://groups.google.com/group/apndroid/browse_thread/thread/ef46a4c24e2b7cbe
It is about Droid with CDMA so that probably applies to your Hero too.

@albert we know about this problem, but now we does not have clear solution of it. So flight mode is the only way to come internet back in such a case.

@Sigh. The best solution install it again, switch to enabled state and uninstall.

I have APNdroid installed on my Verizon Droid Eris (Android 1.5), I uninstalled and cannot connect to the internet anymore. I looked for the APN in my menus but there is no way to edit the APN to fix it. How do I get it working?
